Mixing Liquid Products Before Use
Posted by Jalea D. Starnes

The albumin molecule is an amazing one!  We often get technical questions from individuals trying to better understand it’s behavior and we love to help with technical questions.

This blog post is in response to the question “Sometimes my liquid BSA seem to be a different color on top of the container than it is on the bottom, why is that?”

We asked Joe, our chief scientist and quality manager to take this question:

“Due to the complex nature of albumin solutions, they can naturally layer during storage at reduced temperatures due to racemization or polymerization. These striations are natural and will not affect product quality. For uniformity and best practice, mix the liquid products prior to use.”
